A Texas school district just banned the Bible. Oops.

At least for now, Keller ISD in Texas has banned all versions of the Bible in school, the culmination of a conservative push to censor books.

It finally happened. The Keller Independent School District in Texas banned the Bible in school… at least temporarily. And we have conservative Christians to thank for it.

Keller ISD, in Tarrant County, has seen a flurry of activity around book bans recently. Since last October, conservative parents have demanded that certain books be censored and kept away from students because they include content deemed too mature for their eyes. 33 books have been challenged by parents and community members, including a graphic novel adaptation of Anne Frank’s Diary, Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye, and “The Bible (All Versions).”

In the case of the Bible, an unnamed parent raised the concern. A reason was not specified. ... according to an email that apparently went out to all principals this morning from Jennifer Price, the Executive Director for Curriculum & Instruction, all challenged books must be pulled from the library and classrooms by the end of today… even the ones that previously passed the committee’s review.

Followers of Canadian QAnon figure, Romana Didulo, tried and miserably failed to arrest Peterborough police officers for their role in Canada’s rollout of COVID-19 vaccines.

“People have been asking me to comment on the events of the past weekend in #ptbo,” Therrien tweeted.

“I hate giving airtime/spotlight to these imbeciles. Here is my comment: f**k off, you f**kwads.”

In a release, Peterborough police said three men are facing charges in connection to the incident at the Peterborough police station Saturday afternoon.

The plea deal does not require Mr. Weisselberg to cooperate with the district attorney’s broader criminal investigation of Mr. Trump, and his admissions will not implicate the former president. At the very least that is a fantastic example of projection - I mean, you can make a very good argument that Trump has publicly broken at least seven of the ten commandments (I am not sure he has murdered someone, that he didn't honour his mother and father or that he worships other gods (edit) but he is good for all the rest).

It probably depends on your interpretation of the bible.

* Its certain, that as President, he's ordered the death of people. His policies have certainly cost people their lives. If he thought he could get away with it, I'm sure he would hire someone to kill for him. He's also encouraged people to commit acts of violence in his name. I doubt if he would ever kill personally, because he tends to leave the dirty work to others.

* He was known to have at least attempted to rewrite his father's will ( Trump reportedly tried to rewrite his father's will, but his dad thwarted the effort, saying it 'doesn't pass the smell test'), so that probably qualifies as not honoring his father.

* Also, you can make a good case that he worships Mamon in everything he does. Given the current state of American Christianity, I'm not sure he's doing things much different than the average Evangelical.

No the misspelling was from the person on reddit captioning it. The original from FashAlert was spelled correctly. Fashalert actually issued a correction along the lines of 8ball 's post. It wasn't really a shit meme either. The photograph does show her with the police officer studying the book.

The original didn't say arrested it said detained, which she arguably was because he delayed her while he checked the book. It's actually even funnier because someone did report her for having child porn but the officer "found no child pornography in the book". So she was reported for having a book that she'd said was child porn but the police couldn't arrest her because there was no child porn in it. :D

"An anonymous person accused her of holding a book containing child pornography. Officer asked to view it and she showed him the book. Officer found no child pornography in the book. She was not detained nor was she or her car searched."

They (the GOP campaign team) just found it on a Google image search. Incidentally, it’s also copyrighted. :D

The judge shouldn't have just dismissed her arguments though, sort of confirms her argument that the legal system's against her :( .
