England vs USA

Arsene Wenger says that he thinks Capello will play Rooney as a lone striker.

Although this is the same man who was surprised when Walcott was not selected, so I'm not putting money on his ability to predict Capello's strategy.

Ya know, I wouldn't put it past Capello to have muddied the water with England's last few friendlies. I bet his experimentation was designed to explore his options, but also more importantly, to lull the Americans into a false sense of security.

He could be the Derren Brown of football management, a mixture of magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection and showmanship. ;)

The yank deeeeeefence looks dodgy, 3-1 England.

Mr capello is the man, he always gets that winning mentality in his teams, dunno why all the bedwetters are out in force, should be a comfortable win. :)

If FOR some reason it's close we will win it with a 'field goal' in injury time (FACT) :p

Have you never seen Escape to Victory?

Get yourself away from here, you are no longer welcome in the football forum
One of the great "bad" films of all time, tubby Micheal Caine puffing like a steam train around the pitch :D,was filmed in Hungary, when the crowd rush onto the pitch at the end you can spot that they were wearing very un-1940s flaired trousers.

Its 6/1 for a US win.

Thats a bit of an insult I think. England are odds on with every UK bookmaker.

Surely thats due to the amount of money placed on England rather than the market makers actual opinions?

How long do we think Rooney will last before being sent off? I saw a piece by some idiot saying that England needs Rooney's explosive temper. Yes because we play much better with only 10 men and no striker.

Heh :)

I was on the phone with an American client late yesterday and she likes soccer.
We have a wager on my fee so I am hoping England pull it off.

They are but bookies odds are always based partly on the amount of money placed.
