Now I have a question for you lot as I have been worrying about how I am going to cart all our stuff from the car to the camping space with Elliot in tow and then put a tent up. Will people help me please? Otherwise I will cry :(

I will look after Elliot while we watch you try to put up your tent .

ok - we've come to the decision that, with the wedding less than a week later, combined with grinder being able to stick his endorseit days off work onto the end of the honeymoon, thus giving us longer in sri lanka...

that we're going to give endorseit a miss this year.

Now - we've already bought tickets, so if any twosome haven't ordered their yet, would they mind terribly letting us know? Obviously will sell at cost price.

:( but I can understand why.

What do people think about hiring a transit and sleeping in the back? Is that really weird? Will they let me drive it onsite?

Not weird, there'll be loads of people in the camper field doing the same :D

You will have to camp with the camper vans though, so you might feel jealous of everyone's mod cons, but you can always chuck a mattress and little stove in the back

I don't think they have the same rules about what constitues a campervan as other festies, so you should be OK. I'll see if it says on the website. Only trouble is, I don't think you can drive it down with the foal in the front seat.

EDIT: Yes you can, as long as he uses a front-facing 'child restraint' whatever that is.

Ah cool - yes I will bring a child seat for the foal. :)

Was thinking of hiring a campervan but they're cripplingly expensive so this is the next best thing. I will get a mattress and little stove and that. If the weather's crap, I think the whole being in a tent with a toddler might be pretty awful tbh. And we don't even have a tent so we'd have to buy one and all the kit anyway.

Won't it be really cold in the back of a normal van? :hmm: For some reason they seem to be colder than a tent.

I have a massive tent (2 bedrooms, 2 reception rooms) that I only use when the kids are with me. You'd be welcome to borrow that.

This is the tent I have. It wouldn't be any trouble for me to sling it in the back of my car as there's only me coming (I'm using my littl;e 3 man one).. Might save you a bit of dosh :)

The only thing about vans is tend to be a bit dark.

We have toyed with the idea of borrowing a van for this one, tenting it for the rest but . . . well we might like some comfort by august.

OTOH I like the idea of trying out the kids field.

me n my boy haven't got ours yet, so would be interested if they're still available  PM on way...

Unfortunately a combination of already scheduling 3 holidays in Dorset this year and a heavy week of work looming on the 10th have scuppered Endorseit for me this year. Hope everyone has fun and the weather is good :)

Shame that :(

Was looking forward to linking up with you again** ....

Oh well see you in 2010! :D

**Someone ele will have to recreate the famous cocktail initiative of past years this time!! :p ;)

(pity that spanglegrinder aren't making it either, but reasons entirely understandable ... )

thats a pity

Right - ticket

Hiya beautiful people  I will be on the lookout for a single ticket - WoW said to buy sooner rather than later in case they run out. But I want to buy an ipod this month - does anyone have one to sell that they'd be happy taking money from me up until the event rather than all in one go?
