ok, Randy & Earl's Old Record Club are confirmed as being back where we belong - in the Wig On Casino tent every night after the other stages finish.

Sadly, Earl can't make it this year but we've got some cool guests lined up instead :)

Coool well Earl will be missed though :(

My bro is now talking about coming to this now, hoping etnea will be coming along too...well its that or leave her in the flat on her own?:hmm:
Just seen the poll no foo :(

I’ve heard some fantastic reviews of Endorse It and it seems a really popular festival with U75 – also seeing that’s only an hour away from where we live I think we’re going to go.

Before we purchase tickets I have a couple of questions:

Is it caravan/campervan friendly? Please tell me there is no ‘hill of death’ like at Glasto!
Booze policy? Can we bring our own?
What size is the festival? I’m told it’s kid friendly but is it really? I’d rather leave them with their nana but the Mrs. Ken wants to know.....

:)

it's a very small arena which everything is in, one gate in and out so it's great for kids - the gate security don't let kids wander out unsupervised. I think it's circa 5000 people, but it seems smaller, so it's ideal for kids really.

It's good for campervans, although I think there were some toilet issues last year in the campervan field (not enough), but I'm sure they'll sort that this year. No hill of death - there's one small slope up to the main gate into the camping area but it's small, short and not too steep and even in the really shit weather last year everyone got out fine.

Not sure re: booze.

You can take your own booze onto the campsite, but not into the arena.
No glass anywhere on site though

Excellent - thanks.

That now means we're going to be brave and are coming with kids :)

i think there is a family area OR a campervan field, not sure there's one area which is both, but i could be wrong

perhaps where they adjoin one another?

Ken - I took both my kids last year and it was pretty good for 'em we left early on the sunday but that was mostly down to kids+plenty mud=festival fail. we'd have braved the mud without the kids and stayed with them if there wasn't so much damn mud but both was a bit too much. they were unlucky last year that it just rained and rained and rained. a little bit of rain and the site'll bounce back no problem, go for it though, dancing with a bunch of kids to the Skatalites in the rain and mud was the highlight last year for me.

Thanks - I think we're now going to take them :)

How old are they?

Looking like there will be a significant number of urban-children this year

Ahh it would be great to meet some others with kids. I think we’re going to just bring one of them – he’s 4 and loves being outside, music, circus etc and has been camping (in our beaten up old caravan) with me twice already this year in the New Forest and thought it was the best thing ever invented. :)

Our girl will only be 17 months and will be too young but she can stay with her nana and have some well overdue bonding granddaughter time with her :D

So all will be ok?

Mix of all types is all OK!! ;)

</diplomatic :p >

Endorse It is going to be fantastic with all the Urbans there, kids included, best thing abiout it was bumping into many familiar people and I'm sure that'll be similar this time. After a year's gap in 2008 I'm pretty excited about returning ...

I am not bringing my bubs... I think we are going to try to do Camp Bestival with her this year, if the quids allow. So Mr V and me will be coming once we have sorted/saved up for our tickets.

we can now confirm that one of the very special guests is a certain DJ Shake Up.

It's up to him if he outs himself as such, the lanky baldy Girls Aloud obsessed flat cap wearing bastard
