So they would run buses at christmas and easter but not in summer?

That would be damn cheeky of them. :D

It's the South West - the train company took six months to do two weeks work earlier this year :D

I suppose we ought to get the cocktail making and drinking sorted out now.

Perhaps I should start a new thread in community?

What I propose is a little complicated, but should work fine and will mean that you can either bring booze or not, or drink loads or a little.

I'll keep a list of who brings booze and make a note of how much they spent eg:

Idaho: 3 bottles - £35
So-and-so - 1 bottle - £12
such-and-such 2 bottles - £20
etc

Then everyone (regardless of whether they brought a bottle) chips in £1 - £1.50 a drink.

At the end we will have lots of drunk people and empty bottles and a pile of cash.

Say the total cost of the booze was £90 and we have £80 cash, then we divvy up the money between those who brough the booze. In this case you get 85% of your money back (but have still paid for drinks). Obviously if there is still booze left then you can claim back whatever remained undrunk from what you brought.

I reckon it will be easier this way as people bringing a few bottles won't be out of pocket and if people don't/can't bring any then they can merrily drink away without poncing off anyone.

I will bring ice, cocktail shaker, mint, lime juice, salt, brown sugar, Cranberry Juice, Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice, bitters.

+ Light rum
+ Tequila
+ Triple sec

Ideally we also need:

Vodka
Dark Rum
Galliano
Gin
Coke

+ multiples of any/all of the above.
+ Any other booze we would need to make your favourite drink

Also a clean bucket (or two) and lots of 'glasses' would be useful. I'll have a look round here for any plastic cups that are a bit better than the flimsy little things.

Any ideas? Comments?

That sounds good Idaho, but have we got a meet up place? Is the plan still to have urban super camp by the caravan area?

Well I was hoping that a pen and paper would be up to the job, but clearly I have grossly underestimated.

Jesus. It's hard enough getting four people in a shared house to pay the bills - 50 people making cocktails is going to be a military operation!

Does anyone like Cachaca? I've had a bottle of it sat in the flat for 2 years that we haven't touched. If someone can promise a decent cocktail out of it I'll bring it along.

I can also contribute some vodka and possibly whisky :)

I believe so. In fact, if I say it is, it should be, cos there's nothing like indecision for vaporising a plan.

I will bring dark rum and I want to bring cacacasasasasas (???) too but will see how we go with that as it can cost a bomb over here. I'll chip in mixers too.

thanks for ignoring my question :p

Yes - urban cluster camp on the border of the campervan/camping field.

There should be a fair number of early arrivers so we can set a perimeter, man guard towers and set up the sentry rota.

Lovin the idea of a cocktail bar. I like the plan of having camp urban inbetweeent the camping and the campervan fields.

Tequila for breakfast! RAh!

I think we should make Idaho wear some sort of coctail waiter uniform ;) :D

Surely it be easier if every just bought a load of booze and drunk it?

Then we'd not even need a pen, which would only get lost as the haze came down...
