Do any of you think there's any chance of the fucking weather improving by then?

It' nearly July right now and I'm wearing a big jumper, ffs.

Urban75 massive, at Endorset.

To identify each other, all u75'ers should carry a citrus fruit in a conspicuous manner.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you a first: William complaining that a council have barred alcopops :D

(I thought that would have you moving there in a shot??)

The second smiley is as significant as the first ;)

Context is all -- check the preceding posts ;)

The William of Walworth Festographic Weather Service Is Suspended

for now :p

NVP though, you WANT the weather to be poor now rather than then. 'Get it out of the way' (albeit with the risk of bad patterns 'locking in'). The geeks at the netweather.tv forums (who are FAR worse than I am, and far more techie-knowledgeable and jargontastic) have more or less writen off the next two weeks, but it should all remain to play for after that ....

In other words, scorcher very possible but no guarentees ...:D

Well weather chat beats 4 pages of cocktail chat <ducks :p>

I quite like the sound of some of those cocktails though**. Can also contribute as required ...

(**not the Swamp, mind  ;) -- it LOOKS minging even if the taste is OK which I can't remember ... )

They have weather forums?

God, I thought I needed to get out more ... :D

They spend all day/all week checking various computer models of synoptic charts, and talking about them in jargon laden terms   :( -- too hardcore, even for me.

I've posted a bit , but only during the festival season, and in strictly practical terms.

They got their Glasto predictions spot on in the end, so it can be a useful resource.

But do they ever actually get to go out in the weather? Probably not. :D

For those of you that can't be arsed to trawl through the thread, below are details of my dear brothers whereabouts (so you can avoid him :p ).

the PROD Crew will once again be in the Wig-On Casino Tent every night, from when the bands finish till when they kick us out.

Confirmed are Randy & Earl (Dubversion and Ouchmonkee) and a couple of other DJs to be confirmed.

Friday Night - Juke Joint
You come and choose the music we play from the 1000s of tunes in our Juke Joint wallet. It works a bit like Argos, but on drugs

Saturday Night - Wig-On Casino
All the best 60s grooves - northern soul and Motown and Stax, ska, garage, mod and r&b

Sunday Night - Randy & Earl's Old Record Club
A stomping selection of the cream of 50s sounds - big band jazz, rockabilly and rock'n'roll, R&B, gospel and the like.

Just a bit of a prior warning...
Over half the total kids and family tickets have already sold. Please, please buy them soon if you are going to be bringing kids, as after they have sold out, all that will be left is full price tickets.

Mojitos with a hearty triple measure of rum can be made for about 90p a drink. Margheritas (while undoubtedly the king of cocktails) would cost about 3 times that...

I'll have the 3 Mojitos, thank you very much. :)

Re: food - if people still wanted to eat together despite the large number (and the curry meet was luverly last year!) we could maybe have more of a buffet type thing which everyone contributes to like we have at craft club? It's not like there's not enough craft club members coming (6.5 at last count  ), they all know the drill.

35 of us going now, according to the poll.

:)

Really looking forward to this now - I've not been to a festival for about 2 years.

Magic Sam quaffed them all! Despite showing him the perfectly wonderful martini glass, he decided to drink straight from the fucking shaker.

Boys, they have no idea....
