Lime does wonders for those parts of your face suffering from the invisible termites which chew away at you while your brain's on hiatus though ;)

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you a first: William complaining that a council have barred alcopops :D

(I thought that would have you moving there in a shot??)

Alcopops are just horrible. Although I must give some credit to Barcardi Breezers which led me to cocktails and on to the path of rightousness.

Just worked it out. Mojitos with a hearty triple measure of rum can be made for about 90p a drink. Margheritas (while undoubtedly the king of cocktails) would cost about 3 times that...

Me too. Let's see if we can divvy up the booze supply bringing nearer the time

Are we gonna try and have an Urban camping area or is that just not possible?

I'll contribute some cachacas (sp??) and stuff too - cocktail meet sounds fab

Dub - does that shop you love sell it or do we have to get it online??

The site is so cosy that there probably isn't any need to organise that much.

erm....in the middle of town....loads of bottles in the window.....

Is it Charing X rd??? :(

ah, Gerrys in Old Compton Street. To be honest, drinkstore.com or whatever it's called will be a lot cheaper for cachaca.

I've taken the decision that it's self destructive for me to hold any glimmers of hopes re M and that getting excited by new possibilities is the best thing to do. And I am excited :D

LOL @ Bambi!

We need to get shopping in August then Dub - when we've recovered from being financially raped by June - the dirty slaaaaag

I think that's best. If you are going to start again best to do it as a confident independant person. And if it doesn't work out, then you are in a good place anyway.

Fuck the warm embrace of Krishna, Buddha, Jesus or any sky pixie.

Sunday morning at a festival truly allows you to understand the depths of the healing power of a tin mug full of stewed tea with two sugars :D

[standard tea recipe]
Big mug. 4 sugars. LEAVE THE TEABAG IN
[/standard tea recipe]

We have it on the wall at work, so people don't screw my tea up :D

That place is ace. Used to be great for obscure Bourbon's and the like. I used to do me Xmas shoping there.

Idaho - if you're going to all that trouble of making cocktails I will happily bring an ingredient or two .

I'll also consume shitloads of them. :)

:) I am more than happy to bring supplies, but as i have never made or drank a cocktail, i will need informing of what i need to contribute.

derail - I was up a mountain party in newport some years ago, and there was some guy who made an oven in some earthy mound and made bread in it - it was the bestest bread ever - Fact!

On the website it says theres a laydees day on the Sunday where laydees/mens and kids wear their bestest frocks and eat cucumber sarnies:cool: Excellent oppertunity for more cocktails!:D

The cocktails need to be on the friday as the ice will have melted by sunday! And cocktails without ice are simply beyond the pale. Also by sunday I will be jaded and confused and unable to operate basic drinks making equipment.

We can work out details nearer the time. A litre of rum will make about 12 mojitos. 2 bottles of tequila and a bottle of triple sec will make about 30 margheritas. Both will require about a million limes and a ton of ice (as well as the sugar, salt and mint).

Other easy ones to make would be zombies (which are the easiest way to get drunk ever devised) that require apricot brandy, rum and pineapple juice.

And for the vodka drinkers cosmopolitans are an easy drink to make (provided you don't demand burnt orange bitters - although if you really insist....). Harvey Wallbangers are straight forward too.

Posh do, this Endorse-It thingy, then? ;)

I wholeheartedly agree. One must maintain standards. :D

I'll bring a bottle of rum if you like, mate.

Any particular type? Morgan's Spiced is a fave of mine but maybe Bacardi's better for cocktails?
