Leave the poor lad alone, Dub.

I remember being pretty chuffed when I lost my virginity.

:) Hmmm I hope it isnt on the site where they hold the great Dorset steam fair, It gets really hot and dusty coz its a mowed down corn/wheat/straw field at the end of august.

I doubt its there tho, coz I've been trying to look on google earth, anyone know the post code of the field?;)

It is a mowed down wheat field in the middle of August, but there is a fair amount of shade on the site - a wood on one side (that you can walk through) and plenty of space in the tents.

:D I suppose all the steam engines make it dusty mind, and all that smoke.

I arent worried anyway coz i got me a hat:cool:

*goes off wondering how much one those car refrigerators are*

Nope, different site daisy doo....

The steam fayre is further away from us ;) This one wont take more than 40 mins to get to!!!

I'm with you MsPie. Drinks ahoy. At Glastonbury I think the huge number of peeps makes me stay only giggly and not spannerlike, no matter how much I drink. However, Endorse it is so teeny tiny, its like a gathering at a mates house :D

@ Flounder. So gutted that there will be no Henrys Beard Cafe this year. Hope the new crew are as sorted as they were as I expect we will still camp in that area. Nice to nod off listening to early morning chatter and music. Then wake up and pop your head out for your brew ;)

Dub - Whats your plan for PRoD etc this year? When you on? Or is it more like when are you NOT on? :D

The trouble with no curry, is that I am lost for a place to be. I am one of those people who go to parties and spend the time in the kitchen rearranging the cutlery drawer :D

How about a margherita/mojito cocktail reception on the friday afternoon? I reckon for a £1 a drink it would pay for itself.

:) hey that sound nice, a good way to meet peeps.

Yeah that's what I thought. If there was no other meet planned then at least we could bump into each other for the rest of the weekend and put the (no doubt wrong) name to the (no doubt wrong) face.

It'll be like when you go shopping and bump into someone you know.

Spend time chatting and then wherever you go, you keep bumping into them with an embarrassed grin

:) Hehe cheers madamV, It's a hard slog at the steam fair when its hot, but its very barren.

It'll be good to see you and sparklefish - Wahey! No kids!!!:D
Think I'm gonna get a pull up tent from tescos instead of taking my 6 man tent, might be easier to put up and down, think mr d's getting excited:D

Curry was fab William - but for 20 people - it's too much for one person to do! And expensive!

Yeah, sorry (and to Idaho), I wasn't really thinking that through. I think I was just erm assuming a smaller number of us than that, for no logical reason at all ....

But when I was talking at Offline last night with Crispy about Endorse It, it belatedly dawned on me that there are going to be about 3 or 4 times as many Urbanites there as last time

I'm so excited - my first in about ten years!
I wonder if i can cope, what with being older! :D

I'd really not bother going at all if I was you. Festivals are no place for the old and decrepit ... :p :D ;)

I've been going to festies for over 23 years and still going strong! :)

Yes, I was sorry to read that, HB was excellent .... (if a tad overpriced at Glasto, but the food was  )

Hoping the replacements take up the baton well ... :)

Just seen this..

Must have missed out, when was their heyday? Sounds cool though.

Never really had a heyday, more a nihilistic last gasp of something very beautiful...

(will tell you more over a pint one day)

Moarning!

It's payday innit - so some light festishopping this weekend, and transport arranging to do.

Did somebody say mojitos? :D ;)

This'll be outside the beer tent, right? ;) :p :D
I think I would fall foul of the security were I to bring full cocktail apparatus down to the bar area ;)

Cocktails on a Friday afternoon/Friday Evening/Saturday at 3am/Saturday for breakfast/Saturday lunchtime/Saturday in between bands/Saturday evening/Sunday at four thirty/Sunday for breakfast/Sunday before the bands start/Sunday I might miss the bands, and have more cocktails/Sunday lunchtime/Sunday evening/Sunday night/Monday while packing 'because there's still some left'/Monday on the train home... - veh nice :D

Don't drink too many lime based cocktails in a weekend. I made that mistake (more than once) you get terrible stomach ache.
