sooo, we didn't get back from the insane hot air ballooning till gone midnight, my mother stayed over, the cat had a fight with the evil siamese at 5am, I have a stonking headache . . . .

. . . . and its all still in a heap.

I'll pack in a bit

We're off Waterloo to get the train, right now.

bye bye cats, bye bye house, by bye cheese

oh wait

*packs cheese*

all packed and waiting for termite man to pick us up.

monkeygrinder keeps switching between asking me "have we got [piece of essential equipment we'd be fucked without but he's only just thought of]" and "do we really need [piece of what he doesn't understand is essential equipment we'd be fucked without]".

see you later.

xx

OK I'm just loading the walkman up with songs to play on the way over and am nearly ready to leave :)

Probably not going to be the earliest people there, but nevermind!

Just had coffee at some Godawful services with shouty cafe man and we're back in the hanmobile - should be there in a couple of hours. Woot!

Is it still raining? It's been bucketing down here in Bristol.

My son also arrived home earlier having left Rip Curl in Newquay a day early coz of the weather. He came home with three giant ponchos that they were giving away with two cans of 'relentless'...i've skanked one for meself. A poncho I mean not a can of relentless.:D

I'm sure the u75 festie peeps wont let a bit of damp weather ruin their fun and frolicking eh ;)

Just got back (only had a two pass from the children).

Friday was fun, cocktails all sold in about 2 hours and we broke even - perfect. Nice to meet lots of people - many of whom I have known on the board for over 5 years but never seen IRL.

Saturday the rain was biblical at times. Varying from constant soaking drizzle to bucketing rain driven horizontal by strong wind  And yet despite this I had one the best festival days ever. Plenty of places to shelter and sit down, and a constant supply of pear cider + other embellishments. The weather seemed to have kept a fair number of people confined to tents, but the atmosphere out and about was happy as ever.

Saw a few bands - some of which were good, a couple not so good. Didn't get to see as much as I could have - but no bother.

This morning getting out of the site required a tow from a land rover. The tracks either need to dry up VERY fast or they need to find some way of getting all those cars out. Otherwise I can see people being stuck for hours and hours tonight and tomorrow morning. It took half an hour to get our wagon towed out and this was early sunday morning with barely anyone else around. Would have been nice to stay another day - but not this year alas :)

Now for the grumbles which will be echoed by many others.

Campervan field too far from the arena with no second entrance opened up at the bottom unless you had a backstage pass :hmm:

NO toilets in the campervan field. FFS - who's big idea was that one? Eventually they took 2 toilets out of the family field and put them in the van field - 2 for a field with about a thousand people in it  Even the stewards were embarrassed by it.

I love Endorse It, and I want to go back next year. But I want some guarantees from the organisers that they will put a bit more thought into it.

Sounds a bit rubbish Idaho, but as if you made the best out of a poorly thought out camping situation. The toilet provision would have got my goat too.

Fingers crossed that all them Urban types can get out of the car parks tomorrow. Or there'll be whingeing galore.

Yeah it was a bit rubbish - but was great fun nonetheless.

Want to do a roll-call of all the people I said hello to but am afeared of accidentally missing someone off. It seems somehow rude not to :) Was nice to say hello to Moose and Aqua after a gap of 4 years  And also thanks to memespring and nipsla for listening to my tedious prattling... hats and the style council?

I did manage to say a first real life hello to Eastender, Tank Girl and dodgepot, foo, bluestreak, felixthecat, Thora, firky, JTG, spanglechick, onemonkey, pyscherlic, zenie - shame I didn't get a chance to chat more.

Actually had a comprehensable conversations with han, Top Cat & Ms Top Cat, madamv, Sparklefish, Yossarian, aurora green and Tort.

Felixthecat's innovative cup holder deserves a mention  And I must apologise for failing to remember Mation's name

Also a tip of the hat to Agent Sparrow, beesonthewhatnow, BiddlyBee, citydreams, Cpatain Rbubish, Crispy, crustychick, dervish, dolly's gal, editor, eme, onenameshelley, rich!, Stig, Termite Man, wiskey, wrysmile, zora, Onket, sleaterkinney.

The biggest nod goes to the excellent people who made saturday such fun (sorry - don't know your board name Mark!)

am back, in pub getting pissed using up supplies cos I slept from 10:30am Saturday till 9am Sunday :)

Good luck all getting off site btw!! Was a struggle in the 4x4!!:)

You slept for nearly 24 hours? I thought you had all gone there to have fun. :D

we got back about 7:30pm, drove straight off site with no problems at 6 - slightly slippy but no real issues, arrived back in bristol in the pissing rain. Think we made the right decision.

More tomorrow.

Still 3 tractors busy hurtling up and down now towing folks out. I suspect tomorrow will be hard work. Still, we have had a brilliant time with the usual (and unusual) suspects. :)

Actually, Reading Idaho's post reminds me how many peeps I failed to meet! *waves across field*
