The Herbert chapters all start with interesting quotes. Either historical tidbits or sage comments - both of which enrich the universe and enhance the story. The Anderson/Brian crap attempt the same format but the quotes are laughably shit. Just attempting to sound cool and portentous while actually being as meaningful as greetings card text.
