Donald Trump, the road that might not lead to the White House!

I think CR makes a good point. Whoever did the hack gave it to wikileaks, so if they got caught, which I doubt they have tbh given the backtracking of US rhetoric, it was only because they gave it to wikileaks. Doesn't sound like effective spying to me. To what end, to discredit the US election? Why bother? Surely the US needs no help in doing that all on their own.

Russia Today were also tweeting information about the wikileaks story before wikileaks offically released it, suggesting a degree of collusion between the Kremlin run news agency and Wikileaks.

As soon as that information is dumped the source is burned . Trying to influence a US election between 2 cunts simply isn't worth giving up that type of advantage .

Utter bullshit, it was before the wiki leaks press release . The info was already up on the wiki leaks site . RT were simply doing their job as journalists . Clinton pulling people's chains yet again .

tbh that bit of evidence is piss weak. RT may very well know someone at wikileaks who tips them off about new releases. Why not?

So far I am absolutely seeing no solid chain linking the particular Podesta email hack to Russian government authorisation, not from anything that has been posted. In fact, no chain at all.

Would the USG attempt to imply such a link where none existed? of course they would.

Would the Russians want to influence the outcome of the US election? Well, quite possibly, as Trump has said he wants to be friends and that certainly isn't coming from Clinton. Has wikileaks opened the up possibility of leaks from government espionage? maybe

Do I believe Craig Murray who is pretty much saying that Assange told him personally it didn't come from the Russians? yes

It wasn't evidence at all . It was just another Clinton lie . And the somebody at wiki leaks was probably Assange himself . If indeed that even happened . Alternatively RT journalists..or RT sources..habitually keep an eye on wikileaks for their stories , and have their emails set up to receive automatic updates . Which isn't exactly hard to do .

Rts take on the timelines , tweets and hysterical allegations of reds under the bed, including Trump himself, from the Clinton camp here . It's laughable stuff .

Clinton campaign yet again distracts from Podesta revelations with misinformation about RT

as I mentioned in of itself its not proof of anything. However,I mentioned that on top of several other examples of circumstances evidence, the attack using the same system as a previous attack linked to Russia, and how files had been modified on a Russia language system and how the pattern of attacks by the Fancy Bears suggest they are working for Russian interests.

Yes, if it is to be believed. There's motivation for both sides to lie. For the US, it's a distraction from what's in the stuff that's been leaked, and also a distraction from the fact that they are running a pitiful exercise in democracy, which is certainly nothing to do with Russian meddling.

Russia has form, of course, with the athlete details leaks. Problem with attacking this kind of spying though is that there's a pretty strong public interest argument for saying it's a good thing. US spies, on the other hand, try to keep their hacks to themselves.

Okay What evidence could be presented that would convince you?

Evidence presented by anyone working for the US govt could very easily be a total fabrication - or more likely, as seems to be the way with these things, presenting conjecture as fact, rejecting alternative explanations and not revealing that these alternatives exist.
Doesn't mean I think the Russian govt definitely isn't behind these leaks. I don't actually care too much either way.

Salma Hayek's Trump experience:

“When I told him I wouldn’t go out with him even if I didn’t have a boyfriend, [which he took as disrespectful], he called — well, he wouldn’t say he called, but someone told the National Enquirer,” she continued. “Someone told the National Enquirer — I’m not going to say who, because you know that whatever he wants to come out comes out in the National Enquirer. It said that he wouldn’t go out with me because I was too short.”

Hayek, a Hillary Clinton supporter, also remembered how Trump, 70, continued to contact her even after planting the gossip story.

“Later, he called and left me a message. ‘Can you believe this? Who would say this? I don’t want people to think this about you,'” she said. “He thought that I would try to go out with him so people wouldn’t think that’s why he wouldn’t go out with me.”

The eleventh accuser:

Adult film star Jessica Drake came forward on Saturday to accuse Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump of sexual misconduct.

In a press conference with her lawyer Gloria Allred by her side, Drake claimed Trump had tightly hugged and kissed her without her permission at a golf tournament in Tahoe, California, 10 years ago.

Drake said in the press conference that the then-reality star asked her to his suite, but when she declined he allegedly tried to offer her $10,000, as well as his jet, in exchange for spending the night with him.

“I am a feminist, an advocate for women’s rights, the rights for sex workers,” Drake said, “I am involved with many charities, locally and internationally. For the past five years, I’ve been involved in sex education.

“He flirted with me and invited me to walk along the golf course with him, which I did, she continued. “During that time he asked me for my phone number, which I gave to him. Later that evening, he invited me his room. I said I didn’t feel right going alone. So two other women came with me.

“In the penthouse suite I met Donald again. When we entered the room he grabbed each of us tightly in a hug and kissed each one of us without asking permission.”

There're two narratives here.

1) It's Russia.

2) It's someone else.

The first narrative is supported with evidence (not air tight evidence but evidence)

The second isn't.

The first is supported by nothing but conjecture presented as evidence, by those who don't even require it . The second would involve wiki leaks burning it's own sources, and therefore itself . You don't know and neither does anyone else engaging in this speculation .

Translated, it says: "Donald Trump, he can't read this, but he is afraid of it"

:D

I think he's gone to bed .

Actually he hasn't . He's sitting there right now doing a face like this :hmm:, trying to figure out a way he can wriggle out of that one . Hissing bad words at the screen .

Oh doubtless 8den will be along to graciously acknowledge the error... could happen to anyone :D

Its late and I'm getting my clinton conspiracy theories mixed up. Is there anyone who's been remotely connected to Bill and Hilary who's death isn't considered part of the grand conspiracy theory?

Dearborn voted overwhelmingly for Bernie in the Michigan primary because of Clinton's foreign policy.

Oh dear. It must be getting really uncomfortable for some devout Christians to remain steadfast and vote for Trump.
I think many manage to square the circle by resorting to Biblical attitudes towards women - a fairly constant thread in Trump's (and many right wingers') narratives is the idea that, when a bad thing happens to a woman, it's her fault.

Sure. I was more thinking of how do they feel about his offering a porn star thousands of dollars to spend the night with him.
