Musk's MAGA leader for Reform UK introduced his Anti QE bill in the Commons on Wednesday.
Mentions Musk, Trump, Bitcoin and Henry VIII (in the context of debasing the currency of the realm)
What more could we want? - PS this speech could have been written by William Rees-Mogg - père to Jacob, and know to Private Eye as "Mystic Mogg". A redoutable defender of sound currency!

The Taxpayer's Alliance - who posted the above, forgot to post the funny bit

When I saw that post, I mistakenly thought Wasserman was being mocked because private firefighters aren't a thing

During the height of the fires, on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, Rick Caruso, the billionaire developer who owns Palisades Village, was conferring with his security staff as they deployed several private firefighters from Arizona to save the shopping center...

...A two-person private firefighting crew with a small vehicle can cost $3,000 a day, while a larger crew of 20 firefighters in four fire trucks can run to $10,000 a day, according to Bryan Wheelock, vice president of Grayback Forestry, a private firefighting company in Oregon. Hiring them is not as easy as putting out a post on social media: Most won’t work directly with homeowners.

About 45 percent of all firefighters working in the United States today are employed privately, according to Deborah Miley, executive director of the National Wildfire Suppression Association, which represents more than 300 private firefighting groups. The majority of them work as government contractors fighting wildfires, she said, supplementing local firefighting teams when needed.

Grifty McGriftface has got the boot.

Neil Oliver has resigned from the prestigious Royal Society of Edinburgh after 'discussions'.
The conspiracy theorist and GB News host was found to be 'at odds with scientific and broader academic learning', the RSE said

Weird - Rudy Giuliani was a no-show at his trial today to determine whether his Florida condo and World Series rings should be part of the property he has to turn over to the Georgia election workers he defamed to go toward the $148 million judgment against him, then he announced in the afternoon that the case had been settled and he will be keeping all his property, including the New York apartment he had previously been ordered to turn over.

Who the fuck is giving Giuliani shitloads of money to settle the case? Hope this doesn't mean he can afford to hire lawyers good enough to keep him out of jail in his election interference cases.

Wasn't sure which thread to post this in but he has been discussed here before, and he is definitely a ridiculous character

It IS Giuliani though so it's also likely that he's spewing total horseshit.

Yeah, I thought he was probably just hallucinating or something until the election workers issued a statement:

“The past four years have been a living nightmare. We have fought to clear our names, restore our reputations, and prove that we did nothing wrong,” Freeman and Moss said in a statement. “Today is a major milestone in our journey. We have reached an agreement and we can now move forward with our lives. We have agreed to allow Mr. Giuliani to retain his property in exchange for compensation and his promise not to ever defame us.”

Apparently due to "expected" inclement weather on felon 34's inauguration day, the adjudicated rapist is going to hold the ceremony indoors.

I'm sure it's nothing to do with a low expected turnout, and a lot of "revered political players /personalities" are just not going to bother to turn up and kiss his ring.

Ohhhhhh the crowd size, like nobodies ever seen!!
