One of my least favourite things about this whole 'volunteering' thing is how it implies that any idiot can mend a road. Any idiot can mix up a wheelbarrow full of concrete and chuck it in a hole, but that's a long way off actually fixing the road.

I'm pretty sure any average person could be shown how do it in about 5 minutes - they're not doing translabyrinthine approach surgery.

This regression to infantile helplessness without the strong guiding arm of the state is just hopeless.

Small potholes are idiot proof to fix its when they get larger you need a bit more skill.

Because with out his strategic vision Devon would be heading for disaster with holes in the roads etc
