That is lovely

I need to move house

 I love that second one (it's walnut).

I was thinking the other day, I reckon there are some of those old metal medical cabinets in my nan's house... they might be a bit rusty though, she's not lived there for about 3 years :hmm:

Hammerite paints directly over rust if you rescue one ;)

I will have to go there one day and sort out her house... can't cost more than £75 to ship things like that back :hmm:

Really? I've got no idea how much it's likely to be, but it has to be more than £75, surely? It's costing me £45 to take a sofa from Stockwell to Camberwell!

TBH you could probably cover the cost of freighting them all over if you sold some - at places like After Noah stripped metal cabinets go for upwards of £2k :eek::eek:

While buying my boyfriend's sister some doily plates

I saw they had these (which I've been eyeing up for ages) half price so I got them

And seeing as I was paying p&p anyway I also got some Keith Haring wall decorations.

All from supernice.co.uk

Our dresser from eBay, yay!

(it's my photo that's wonky, not the floor ;) )

gsv managed to get it in his dad's estate car, in an epic Sussex round trip. We managed to get it in the house. Goes with the kitchen a treat (the stuff on display is just to get an idea - we need to paint the wall behind before we 'load it up') and was a damn good bargain. I had a feeling when I saw that one that it was the one to go for. All solid wood, no mdf, in good nick so a good deal at £150 :)

That's nice! I got a couple of nice vases in the Habitat sale, and my boyfriend got this.

It's meant to be a wall decoration, but he's been after a coat rack for ages and after I put it up I went "here, I bet you could hang coats on that" and then demonstrated that yes, you can hang coats on that
I painted the squares too.

My latest home related purchase is £700 to get the certain outside bits of it rendered and then painted. Once that's done - because paying for services isn't the same as paying for an actual thing - I'm getting a new front door and a new gate.
Woooo!
The glamour never stops.

After that I might go completely crackers and buy a fancyschmancy coffee maker. Mine bit the dust last month and I've not seen one I like since.

Has anyone got any experience of blowing a picture into a big print, or getting it printed on canvas or whatever?

1) Is it really naff to do that (I'm thinking of a Stella Vine painting rather than a photo or whatever), and

2) How high res does it need to be?

I've just bought a garlic press.

It was £1.49 (including P&P) off Ebay.

Here is a picture:

I hope this thrilling news fills you with glee, Pip. :)

Oh. I... I understand. Erm. No no, it's okay. These things happen. I er. I think I'm just going to have a little lie down. No, it's just something in my eye. I'm fine.

What kind of sick bastard paints walnut?
