Derry Girls

I've enjoyed it so far, and this morning I set my Freesat box to record this latest series.

* It's a regular Saturday morning job, over a cup of tea, to check the TV guide & set to record everything of interest over the coming week, so I don't miss anything, and can skip the ads, unlike on catch-up.

Yes
Sending a Sr. Michael gif or pic in response to a text is a firm favourite thing of mine. :D

I really liked the first series, but it does get old quickly. Same one punchline characters. The stowaway on the road trip episode was particularly great. People don't talk about it but I thought the teenage girl sitcom Some Girls was really good with proper fleshed out characters.

I remember trying out Some Girls, and it didn't seem as sharp as Derry Girls. Maybe I'll give it another go.

The DG episode which stands out for me is when they do that "peace initiative" with the boys Protestant school.

I don’t know how I managed to miss this for so long. Started watching S1 yesterday and nearly finished with S2 already. Genuinely funny as fuck, and extremely watchable and enjoyable.

Another good episode last night. I won't spoiler by saying which act they chose to be, but it was the 90s and there's 5 of them . . . .

I'd narrowed it down to two possibilities, but they'd pursued the Take That topic in the second series.

The highlight for me was the dynamic between Sister Michael and Father "Matthew" Peter.

The episode with the Ukrainians seems uncannily resonant atm.

The display kitkat routine has been done before except it was an egg sandwich and rhod Gilbert.
