On the rare (now) occasion I drink lager ,it has to be in a straight glass , feels wrong in a jug .Only so long as the contents do also.
I love a quality pint in a tankard-handled pint glass, those glasses don't necessarily have to be dimpled either.
Fuck knows where people get this 'You have to be Northern or Hipster for those poncy glasses' thing comes from. They've been revived of late true, but those handled glases are a revived tradtition**.
Sadly now imported from China, I believe, rather from up North ...

Well with lager you have this clean clear golden liquid with sparkly bubbles. This is considered attractive and being able to see it makes the drink more appetising and tastier due to that appetite effect.Only so long as the contents do also.
