Cheap Winter Sun Holidays: your recommendations

Canary Islands is just the ticket for a cheap break in the sun. You'll have guaranteed sunshine at this time of year, for very cheap (and can be quite pleasant too). I was looking at Portugal yesterday, but too cold even for March. You won't have that problem in the Canaries. Can be a tad off in February but even then, its pretty good (17 - 22 degrees).
I don't think anywhere is guaranteed sunshine unless it's in the desert.
Friends of mine went to Lanzarote in February once and it was overcast every single day.

Aye, like I said, Lanzarote or any Canarian island can be a bit dodge in February.

Another thing - I was actually flying to Lanzarote the day i heard poor Raverdrew passed.... 9th February 2014. The weather was good 6 days out of 7, but last day was blustery and cloudy. My parents went to Lanzarote one February and said it wasnt fantastic and sunny about half the time.I think if you are seeking sunshine for very low cost in february, there is a slight gamble, Canary Islands is your best bet.

You said "You'll have guaranteed sunshine at this time of year" though, so you're contradicting yourself in the same post!

My mind flies around a bit, sorry. I have been to the Canary Islands about 5 times, and my parents probably about 15 times, always in winter or early Spring. My recollection of my own experience and their descriptions is that its generally pleasant and sunny. I have only heard one bad experience of a Canarian holiday which was the 3 out of 7 bad days my parents expeienced one February, and the blustery last day I experienced in 2014.

I think I'll give it a miss. It's a bit killy.
Do you any recommendations? Ideal temperature would be 20-25C

Canaries are your only real option. Red Sea is orf the menu right now, anything else is too far away, 8 hours+.

Canaries will be fine. The large islands are still very peaceful outside of the big resorts, the smaller islands quieter still.

I went to Tenerife last week. It was warm and sunny every day. 22-30 degrees.

Still consider the Gambia. Things are at crisis point right now, but they'll be over very soon (4pm today, hopefully) and then it'll be a joyous place to be. And they will really need a return of confidence to their tourist market.
