Championship 2024-2025

Going to the den Wednesday night for the Leeds game. My first time ever going without my dad, not been for years because he was so poorly for a long time before he died. Suspect I'll get a bit tearful on the walk down. Then hopefully we'll stuff Leeds (lol).

I feel slightly less nervous about the derby on Sunday now. Still think we'll get walloped, but hopefully it won't be Watford 2.

I've also got a bad feeling about Sunday, but hopefully last night gives the players a bit more confidence.

The second half performance on Saturday was shocking. I don't think Watford could believe their luck. Seems like its two steps forward, one step back all the time with the current squad.

Well yesterday wasn't as bad as it could have been, but we never looked like scoring. Souttar in particular never gave us a sniff.

I see Wilder appeared on social media feeds last night being as classy as ever. Can only hope we give him to think about when dem blades come to our place.

Totally out the blue innit. I know he stepped in to manage us out of crisis last season, but when he started this season I thought he must be staying.

Can't help feeling we're daffy ducked now :(
Last two performance were very weird a mixture of playing one half like Barca, the other like Barnet. Something up. Esse likely to palace as well 🥺

I knowwww 😢 great signing for him obviously but it'll be a big loss for us. He's one of our own...

At first I thought it was just having our two first choice captains out injured, then not having a single fucking centre back to play, but now Neil's going I agree somethings up.

I know technically they're a premiership side at the moment, but they'll be back with us soon enough. Southampton have done Martin dirty imo. The man got them promoted with a bang average team. They were never going to do well in the prem, they need to manage their expectations not sack their manager. I'd have him at millwall if we don't poach what's his name off Wycombe.

What do you think of Alex Neil BigMoaner? I'm less than impressed tbh. Seems the plan really is for us to churn out talent through the academy, make money and not win anything.
Know very little about him but he has a goodish track record and he looks the sort of dour no nonsense type that would be a fit with the fans. The injury problems are at the heart of our problems at the moment no matter who’s in charge.

Hopefully Plymouth will have a chance of survival now that Rooney's finally been given the boot. Strange appointment in the first place.

I remember him being OK-ish at Norwich.
Yeah he did well there. Tanked Preston and Stoke but I guess you only remember the end of someone's time at a team that isn't your own. I should give him the benefit of the doubt I suppose. :D

Baffled at how long Rooney was given at Plymouth. With the best will in the world I don't think many ex-pros make good managers - he had a natural gift and that must skew what you expect from and how you lead other less naturally talented players.

Carrick seems to be one of the few who's actually decent. Even if Boro did go a bit Spursy against us in the second half.

Windass has already scored a goal of the season contender.

I was right behind the Windass shot yesterday on the Kop. As soon as he looked up and hit it we all knew it was going in given the keeper was so far off his line. One of the best goals I have ever seen in over 50 years of watching Wednesday.

It's going to be one of those 'were you there when' moments, like that Pressman penalty. Seeing it on telly was wild enough. Also, Derby's defence for the third goal was practically absent, what were they even doing.
