Cat injured. Hiding under shed :( (update: sadly not a good ending)

Once we'd thrown a whole flour tortilla on the garage roof for the gulls. Woke up the next morning to find he'd dragged it in through the catflap.. From then on known as the Tortilla Killa :D

He was also called Dodgem coz his tail stuck up at a funny angle like a Dodgem car's pole

So sorry. This is sounds like saddle thrombosis. I lost my boy to that. Horrendous thing to go through. This makes me sad! 😪
Have had a little read about that. Doesn't seem likely as Bob had no pain reflex in his back legs rather than extreme pain. Still, doesn't change its horrible. Thanks for sharing though as helps to try to make sense of things

If your boy had no pain,. It doesn't sound like it was this.
My boy was in so much pain he screamed all the way to the vets. Horrible horrible experience.
I'm glad your boy wasn't in pain. It doesn't change it for you. You've still lost him. But at least he wasn't in pain.
Thinking of you. It hurts like hell when we loose them.

He was distressed but certainly not in acute pain so yeah, as you said, glad of small mercies

I'm so sorry about this horrible news Mumbles274 . So abrupt and shocking for you to have to deal with. Bob was indeed epic and it's very clear from the pics how loved and contented he was throughout his life. Rest In Purrs ginger tortilla killer. And hugs / scratches (*delete as appropriate) to the rest of the household.

Lovely marmaladey dogwood for a lovely marmalade cat. What a good idea. Hope the space he’s left isn’t feeling too big, and that your other animals are ok without him there.
