Never driven one but had a ride in one years ago, slightly over bored engine and brutal acceleration.
One of my favourite places to be of any car ever, the dash and surround is just awesome.

Always thpught there were just 99 made, but the figure of 100 has been bounded around a bit over the last few years as one may have been made from parts after productionon ended.

Fantastic looking and sounding cars.
There were 9 Gordon Keeble's at Brooklands today. 1 went up the hill.
There were also 2 failures on the hill today which I had never seen before

Oh my word!

Checked Friday's Euromillions ticket and it's a :(
I'd buy this, I know its history, it was owned by a friend of mine. It has a very rare four speed auto box, and drives beautifully. Well it did before he sold it about 4 years ago. He's had a few Bristols and is an active member of the owners club so I'd get him ti check it over first.

I like a 411, but it's not as special as a Gordon Keeble. :)

Can't ever see myself behind the wheel of a Bristol or Morgan.

The last two that came up were both around the £100k mark, a sky blue one and a sage green one IIRC.

Think this one would be well over that.

Just look at those rear wheels and that front view. <faints>

I currently have sooooo much want for this:

A mate of mine had one of those several years ago - it either had a newish engine in it OR he put a newish engine in it

He was tremendously disappointed by it - heavy on fuel AND a not a performance monster that would've warranted the fuel consumption - worst of both worlds

Interesting, I can imagine that.

The one posted above appeals due to it being quite an early model and the originality of it (apart from the front seats). The earlier models were a bit sportier than the later mid-70s ones.

Just thinking about a replacement for my languishing, redundant TVR really.

I’ll

I’ll be seeing him this weekend so will find out some more info on it

I do remember that it was in remarkably good condition, he only buys cars in very good condition. I think he was looking at that one as a possible keeper but moved it on when it didn't deliver on performance and fuel

It's still bumping around the Devon area and we often see it car Powderham car show. Still in very good condition

My father had the later model and I used to borrow it for towing ( rowing boats, not horse boxes ;) ). Be ready for overheating problems like just about any British car of the era, but it’s the Ford Essex V6 and and components from the BL or Ford parts bins. Probably a bit heavy for the suspension components. The owners’ club had a book to help you locate the cars the parts came from. I’m not sure why you would put a new engine in one..I seem to recall you could bore them out and get down to the main bearings in situ for reconditioning them.

I’d go with the later model..you get Morris Marina door handles ;)
