Canada, Alberta

Yep, my son has them on the itinerary, and his favourite eating places, gigs at the Blues Can venue and a brewery and distillery tour

The downside is he wants me to go wild camping with him and his mates. I said only if the wild camp has an en suite bathroom and I'm tooled the fuck up with bear mace 🐻

I did the wild camping in the Rockies.
We had to hang all our food (and toothpaste) up a tree so the bears would not enter the camp.
We also wore bells, so we did not startle bears as we hike. I called them dinner bells :D

eta: I was the first one into the outhouse, and there was a porcupine in there.

Forgot to say, we'll probably go up to Edmonton for May Day. I gather it's more labour movement oriented than Calgary. Though if there's summat happening in Calgary, we'll stay there for it.

Our kid reckons it's a 12 hour drive to Vancouver, so I said fuck that :D Thanks for the offer pal  But fuck me, Canada's big though. It's not like driving from Leicester to Manchester.
Fucking huge. I’m from the NW and i never fancied the drive from The Wirral to Manchester for gigs at the Apollo. Different scale. Anyway if you ever need a place to crash in The ‘Couve give me a shout. I’ve got a nice condo in Cambie village.

watch out for the moose

They are HUGE. Had no idea until i saw one.

Same here!!!!

We saw one up this Rockies - I think I could walk it one without ducking!!! (I'm under 5 feet).
We watched from a close distance, but then one of the yahoos with us that it would be fun to chase it. Moron!!!

A friend's Dad drove a transport truck. He collided with a moose. The truck was a write-off and the moose walked away.
