I used to be a member of a forum where the editor switched off the smileys to encourage us to be more articulate. So some of us started using hosted ones, favouring the big annoying animated ones with waving arms, knobs, vomit, wee and turds. Ahhh...wild times. We were young and foolish....you had to be there. 
So he banned us.
Then everyone got the hump, someone started a rival forum with a near-identical name and structure and 90% of us decamped. Whenever we popped back for a look he would check our IP addresses and stop us re-registering. Six years later the forum is still going, but he is the only one allowed to post.

I can't get my Drobo to talk to my desktop. I've tried restarting the Drobo and upgrading the firmware but I'm still not getting anywhere so I'll reboot my machine and then maybe faff about with IP addresses.
And even that will be more interesting and life-affirming than getting involved in one of your miserable, perspective-challenged and incredibly petty nitpick fests.
