If bought in the 90's that would have been under £100k, which would have been within reach of (for example) a tube driver. Not really reeking of middle class Tory affluence. But of course, £500k today is out of reach of nearly everyone unless they already have a foot on that grubby ladder.
Of course we can only speculate as to whether he’s been there since the 90s or whether it’s a more recent purchase.

yeh, i used to live in a very similar house in homerton. but it's not a semi, kebabking, as it is joined to houses on either side.

I'm not disappointed at all. I am pleased that earlier assertions that sought to demonise a particular area and stereotype its citizens has proven well wide of the mark. The 'reeking' remark directly relates to that.
