I'm surprised the fact the Broken Family Band are playing hasn't been mentioned ..... apart from Glastonbury, where they were great, they've not done any festivals I don't think.

They're in the Big Top (second stage) on Friday night, so probably ideal timing for those wanting to avoid Dreadzone ;) :p

I'm loving the line-up and weather predictions for this year. Not enough good bands to keep me at the stages all the time but who wants to anyway?

Good mention WoW for BFB by the way, they are great live  As for Hawkwind, well 40th anniversary with lazers n'stuff that's just fucking super sweet re-living my youth at travellers festi's and fucking mental all day acid one dayers at The Academy :D:D:D

Lots of stuff on that I don't know so I'm looking forward to hopefully discovering some new stuff. I've seen a lot of the main bands (the ones I like, anyway) so that's not the big draw.

Except for Hawkwind . . .

ok, if the van passes its MOT on Wednesday we're coming

Good god, man, are you sure?? Despite my overwhelming love for the 'Wind, wild horses wouldn't drag me to that gruesome den of crusty iniquity. (((jefe)))

partly it's political - haven't done enough work for the guy who gives us most of our festy bookings this year so I owe him one really. And DJing the main backstage bar could be good exposure....

Plus, it's a nice site to sit around, get drunk and laugh at people with tankards

I did just say to rich that we're probably best off not taking the kitchen garden to this one.

Weather forecast links from me being delayed til tomorrow or Thursday, because we're on a right knife-edge for the SW .....

I don't think we'll have washout, shouldn't (for now) be anywhere near as bad as last year's, but there looks like being some (lightish?) rain at times, and not too much in the way of warm sun either ... :(

Subtle changes in prospects popping up all the time though. Fingers crossed!

Any rain showing is just saying 'a couple of showers' and that's only Friday. After the last few years, a couple of showers is very dealable with.

Come on for some sun though!

Is there a festival list thread or can we start tips on here.

I am making lists of stuff and getting in a panic that there is something that I have forgotten!

Excitement + Panic = Woop woop Ergh
