beatles songs which are actually quite good

'There Are Places I Remember' and 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' both spring to mind.

Trivia Question: Who played the guitar on 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'?

Clue: It was NOT George Harrison.

You are correct, Sir, Harrison did play guitar, but the solo was played by someone else.

Anyone not knowing the correct anser is, of course, a cloth-eared gibbon.

tomorrow never knows, come together, while my guitar, a day in the life, across the universe, strawberry fields forever, golden slumbers, back in the USSR....

they did as many great songs as they did rubbish songs imo

yea wasn't clapton banging harrison's wife at that time?

The story of the end of the Harrisons' marriage is quite a shocker, really.

According to one account, Clapton simply went up to Harrison at a party and said:

'George, I'm in love with your wife. What are you going to do about it?'

To which Harrison, with his then-wife standing right there next to him, is said to have replied:

'Whatever you like, man. You can have her and I'll have your girlfriend.'

I can't let this thread go by without mentioning (B-side of Paperback Writer)

Awesome song and probably Paul's best bass moment.

I used to love The Beatles but I'm no great fan any more. I like 'You've Got To Hide Your Love Away,' 'Penny Lane,' 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'A Day in the Life' a lot, and I still think Abbey Road is a great album, but that's about it.
