Bastard tights making my thighs itchy.

such and such

Scones then fucking.
I'm sure I am not the only one with this issue :hmm: It is rapidly approaching winter in Melbourne which means tights wearing season. Which would be fine except for one problem. After sitting for more than half an hour to an hour when wearing tights I find the backs of my thighs become extremely itchy, to the point I become very agitated and not happy at all.
Has anyone who has had this problem managed to find a solution? Cheers

Are your tights a high wool content or not?

You might be allergic to them..
Try out cotton or wool...or bamboo tights. Bamboo is great in socks and tights.
Failing that try stockings. They at least don't cover all your thighs and let you "breathe"...ahem.... :).
The hold ups are ok...but they can slip down...just get a suspender belt. Yeah...it sounds kinky but really it isn't.

Hello all, thanks for the suggestions. The tights I wear are all made of synthetic material. I'm mostly looking for suggestions to stop the ones I currently own annoying me so much.
I do own a fair number of stockings/suspender belts but they still cause me to have a cold bum sometimes :(

Are you sure your skin isn't being irritated by the detergent you use to wash the tights, and/or any tiny bug stuff in them? It's Australia so there might be some amazingly dangerous tiny species nesting in your hosiery drawer... try a different laundry routine and it might help...

You mention the itch is on the back of your thighs...and when sitting.
Maybe it's the chair or rather the material the chair is made from?

I used to find that - on really cold days watching football I'd wear a pair of Mrs Mx's tights under my jeans - warm, but fuck did they itch.

Wear leggings instead?
Yeah, I've pretty much given up on tights now, except for posh.

I do find that certain tights itch more than others. It's like a prickle. I've always just ended up binning them.

Evans do the best tights for my size... but even then they're wrinkly around the ankle and after about four hours they won't stay up at all.

ASOS 2 weeks ago did the best tights EVER for the larger lady. Soft, stretchy, and non-itchy. I stupidly only ordered one pair to try, then they'd sold out when I went back to snap up a year's supply  :(

Please feel free to message if they ever show up again
I get my tights from Sonsee. They're an Australian company that specialise in tights for the plus sized person. They aren't the cheapest but very comfy (even if they still give me the dreaded itch).
