Anymore of those Randy & Earl mixes?

the enthusiasm here is very sweet indeed, bless yer, but I really have to say it's Jefe who's put in pretty much all the effort on this so far - so I guess I better pull my finger out and do a bit. soon-ish.
embarrasingly I noticed the one link was broke but didn't think anyone would notice much until we got Randy & Earl's new online home set up proper like.

cheers tho'

I've been trying to check this out.. Every time I try, I do have to add an ".mp3" extension to the downloaded file and then they work fine. I've contacted support to see if that's cos I've done something wrong or it's just how the site is set up to work.

I've had a similar problem with the roots mix this morning - it refuses to download properly if you try and call it something sensible, rather than the "downloaded from boomp3.com" filename it gives you. Even when I didn't change this it still took three attempts to get it.

Cheers for the hint beesonthewhatnow - have got the '21 Commandments...' mix downloading after 3rd attempt :)

At risk of selling myself short, that mix is really basic: it's pretty much just a personal best of... with the tracks crossfaded. But I honestly think they are the best roots tunes ever

Cool cool, dude - only really been getting into reggae (in all it's forms) for a couple of years so am v interested to hear what you rate :)

I've meaning to stick up a dub mix, a digidub mix (which i sort of have) and a pure 21st century mix, but I really fancied just a basic 'reggae's greatest hits'.

Feel free to follow up with me on anything you like

Will do :)

...and am looking forward to those further mixes!

The Roots one is another gem Jefe, thanks. I'm glad I started this thread
Yup; good work on both counts.

Played all 3 R&E mixes on the campsite at Big Chill over the weekend - got a round of applause from various campers at the end of each! A few people asked for copies so I told them to google 'randy & earl mixes'

I'm all embarassed

We keep thinking about doing a Randy And Earl night and then figuring nobody would come

At the risk of inflating your ego to bursting point, the stuff you play, along with the "Randy & Earl" moniker, would make a fantastic late night radio show.

Really great mixes, just downloading these for work, we use the Honky Tonk one as a soundtrack at home when we play

Randy & Earl Ride Out

last minute news folks but Randy & Earl are gonna be back drinkin' cold beers and spinnin' hot tunes behind the marvellous music machine down at Leytonstone's wonderful What's Cookin' tomorrow night. (sat 6th Sept)
live entertainment coming from The Snakes and er, probably someone else in support........
It's a great venue and it's free (the bands play for tips basically)

also, on topic, another Randy & Earl mix is, finally, almost ready to go and if I say that on here then I'll have to get around to finishin' it an puttin' it up won't I?

lest I'd look a fool.

and we can't be havin none o' that, can we?

The other band are Severed Limb.. skiffle-a-billy or something.

And your mix better not be better than mine :p
