Any cassette-to-mp3 recommendations?

Air of bewilderment model's own
As per thread title. I've got a box full of stuff on cassette that I'd like to convert to mp3s. Lots of suspiciously cheap devices on the market. I'm not a perfectionist about the sound quality but I don't want to lose too much - they're already less than crystal-clear.

Any recommendations?

ps can someone move this if it should be in some techie forum instead?

Thanks, I'm going to assume the question about amp/computer was not meant facetiously :).

I'm exceptionally inept at this sort of thing so sorry if this is a dumb question - I connect the headphone line out on the amp to the mic socket on the computer, right?

ha ha not at all - it took me two years to get hold of a working tape deck! If you have all that youre pretty much set.

Go Tape Deck Out > Tape In on the Amp
Then go from Tape Out on the back of Amp into the Mic on the laptop/pc.
Most likely you'll need a 2 phono to 1 mini jack cable for that
(3.5mm Mini Jack Stereo to 2 x RCA Phono Adapter)

Does that make sense?
Then you need a program to record the audio on your computer....see other thread ;)
