Airfryer - which one is best?

Get your air fryer ready for your Christmas dinner, farmerbarleymow.

Everyone thinks seagulls, Dosret’s national bird, can be a bit of a menace. But did you know they are delicious too?

All you need to cook this delicacy is a live seagull, a bag of chips, a turnip and a flagon of cyder.
1) Kill the seagull by carefully placing the bag of chips in the road. The seagull flies down to eat the chips, and gets hit by a car.
2) Collect the seagull carcass, and roast on a low heat, on a bed of turnips.
3) Serve with the bag of chips.
4) Wash down with the cyder. Mmm!

[Re-posted from the 'Gulls Are C*nts' thread, for those that don't follow that thread, since FBM highjacked it with endless seagull porn.]

They cant be that great - we havn't got one and managed to have a perfectly reasonable crimbo dinner regardless.

I know there's some Ninja fans on here, please tell me about the model you have, why you chose that one, and how well it is going -v- how long you've had it.

I am thinking of getting the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer AF400UK for £179, but was wondering if I should be looking at other models.

  • Cook a family-size roast in under an hour: roast a 2kg chicken in one drawer & potatoes in the other drawer
  • 2 foods, 2 ways – both ready at the same time
  • Cook up to 25% more* 9.5L capacity feeds 8+ people
  • 6 cooking functions – Air Fry, Max Crisp, Roast, Bake, Dehydrate, Reheat
  • Up to 75% faster than fan ovens**
  • Air Fry – Up to 75% less fat than traditional frying methods***
  • Easy to clean with dishwasher safe parts
  • 2-Year Guarantee

I got us one of the 15 function ones

TBH the only options I’ll ever use are:-
Slow cooker
Air fryer
Pressure cooker

The other functions whilst nice I doubt I’ll ever use

The slow cooker has been used the most and I’m still getting the timings right for fall apart slow cook meat

The pressure cooker was an eye opener carrot and Swede cooked to super easy mash in about half the time

So far clean up is pretty good but I’ve yet to get the heating element dirty and whilst it is cleanable it’s either:-

A ball ache
B invalidates the warranty

But cleaning is always the weakness of all kitchen goods

All in all both me and Mrs Voltz are pretty happy with it

Oh and it’s a Ninja btw

What put me of the twin drawer ones was the cleaning out really does look terribly difficult

bought that one for my folks a year ago and its still in their kitchen and is used weekly

which is showing its not bad

as all the other kitchen related stuff has been position to the cupboard of doom to gather dust and eventually go walkies to the dump or places unknown

:)

I have an AF100UK basic one person ninja which someone bought for me and I like it, limited for multi person usage though but cheaper than my fan oven for most things on my own. a two drawer one would have helped.

I only got one drawer which I regret but I got some a little grill shelf thing from ebay (along with a couple of baskets for cooking bread and cakes) and they really help.

Is that THIS ONE, with only on basket?
Thats the one Ive got too, same as High Voltage Ive only used the pressure cooker ( which I love ) , slow cooker and air fryer, easy to use and clean.

I love it.

My friend has the one cupid_stunt mentioned and they love it due to being able to do 2 seperate things at one ( I know my one can but ive not got that adventurous yet.

Also my cousin has one of these

And loves it, not sure how different it is than the ninja version.

That'll teach me for asking for advice on here, just went to order the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer AF400UK direct from Ninja at £179 - 10% senior discount for the over 55's, so £161.10, and the fucking thing has gone out of stock now!

I wouldn't mind the smaller AF300UK, as that would be big enough TBH, but even with that 10% discount, it's £197.99, so £36.89 more!

They have it on AO at the same price, but no discount and £6 for delivery, so basically £23.90 more. And, Argos is taking the piss at a price of £250!

I think I'll wait until I can grab one at better price.

Yes the non-stick on mine's gone, too, doesn't seem to make any difference and I do wonder why they use the stuff. I avoid frying pans with it.
