A no limits Olympics thought experiment

Why not create new drugs-related events? Such as televised heroin taking, where you see who can inject most heroin without dying?

Obviously restrict it to adults to protect children.

You could get smaller diameter needles so the kids could compete as well without overstretching their little veins.

The could spice it up by having "no limits" on using roads while cycling events, marathons etc are taking place. Lorries, spectators, random cyclists... would be much more realistic than creating a sterile environment.

How about a mash up event with F1 and road cycling on the same circuit at the same time. But with the cars running clockwise and the cyclists anti-clockwise?

There have been lots of early deaths of dopers. And dopers always take unknown risks by using pharmaceuticals in scenarios which they haven't been tested for. So I think it's a terrible idea. Nobody studies the health of doped athletes after they've retired. The consequences might be far worse than we realise. Clinical trials are done for a reason.

But if it were lawful then the studies coukd be done.
