Luke 5:16
I'm not really on here any more, but I know there are a lot of posters in Wales so wanted to share this request.
I volunteer at Reach (foodbank, debt/benefits advice, personal advocacy) and so saw that Acts435 "Advocates" are in desperate need in Wales, to allow those in need to access charitable help.
Acts435 are a charity that allows donors to directly fund an individual's request, like a basic bed/mattress, or money to pay for heating. They're a Christian charity but there's no requirement for the requesters to be. The money goes into Reach's bank account, and we then buy the item off amazon/argos wherever. Reach were set up by a church, but have no obvious link and the clients wouldn't even know. Even some of our advisors are Humanist if anything.

Acts435 advocates:
Acts 435 connects people in need with people who want to help. The advocate is a named person within a partner church or charity who posts the requests directly on the website. They reach out to those in need which can be done in a variety of ways:
directly through people known to them to be in need.
through ministries their church might run such as a food bank, debt advice, community café, job club or toddler group.
through referring organisations such as the local school or citizen’s advice.
