2nd Referendum - it has no purpose because it will solve nothing

you do know, though, that it's people like yourself, and forums such as these that caused enough people to take umbrage at the righteous left, that it SWUNG THE BALANCE in the referendum

demand on the NHS needs to be reduced - not just pointless billions pumped into it to be spent on 'health tourists'

Health tourism accounts for less that 0.5% of the NHS's budget, and much of that cost is elderly British Daily Mail readers who have retired to the Dordogne coming back to the UK for cancer treatment etc. They'd still slip under the radar after Brexit, and trying to police the system would cost more than letting it go.

Oh, and the NHS is already wasting money trying to enforce charging against some of the most vulnerable people resident in this country, under a system originally framed around health tourism
how can it be a waste of money trying to recover revenue from those that refuse to pay - I take it you regularly dodge the fares on trains, right?

low skilled nurses, porters etc..can be replaced with local workers, and if the pay is right, the rest will stay

"Low Skilled" nurses currently have to pay about 30 grand on tuition fees for three year's trainingand have just had their bursary withdrawn, so good luck with that.

Charging for NHS services costs more money than it raises, because many of the people being chased up for payments are destitute and not allowed to work. It's an ideological project aimed at normalising charging for the rest of us eventually-the thin end of the wedge. Health tourism costs less than 0.5% of the NHS budget. Many of those engaging in it are white anglophones and have access to an address that makes them look legit.
