Why can't they just stick to the analysis of the games? I'm sick of football shows nowadays where every other clip is them trying to be funny. It's embarrassing.

FFS.....the FA should have torn up the contract to screen the cup games after they did it in the Liverpool-Everton game.How many times are they going to do this before they realise they're not up to showing football and Loose Women and the Jeremy Kyle show is their level?

ITV website is much shitter than the Beebs, but the Beebs pundits are generally miserable or stale. Linekar is a far better host than Chiles though.

ITV commentary is shite but they actually have decent studio pundits this time . I really like Edgar and Patrick and I can tolerate Gareth Souhtgate .

I've also been wondering why both ITV and BBC have decided that the extra international pundits they have shipped in are all black ( I think klinsmann might have pundited for the BBC as well but I can't really remember ) . Has it just happened like that or have they thought that since the World Cup is in Africa they should have black people in the studio ( BBC did the same for the african cup of nations except the pundit they got in was really shit )

Not really interested in ex-players as pundits. Exception is Lee Dixon who generally tries to explain issues and situations without that "I don't understand why . . . " never-been-a-manager punditry way.

He's also good when they let him do proper tactical analysis. The rest is utter garbage, especially oafs like Hanson.

Part of the problem is, of course, the questions they're asked.

Fwiw, I tend to switch on at kick off and turn off for 15 minutes half way through.

It's been interesting comparing Seedorf and Davids on the opposite sides. Seedorf definitely gets my vote, as Davids seems a little wooden, strangely for the man known as "The Pitbull".

Dixon vs Southgate is a closer contest, with both quite good newbies.
