Which quarter final has you salivating the most?

I can't remember a quarter final line up being full of such excellent, attacking teams before.

Germany v Portugal - well here I'm torn. On the one hand, the Portuguese play quite nice stuff, but I can't help but want them to lose because of the hateful C.Ronaldo, the most punchable guy in football. And germany are much more likeable than they used to be. Still, should be a good game.

Croatia v Turkey - well this ought to be great. Bilic has the Croats playing great stuff, and Turkey will have nothing to lose.

Netherlands v Russia - another humdinger. Russia are looking exciting, as are the NL, and while I tip NL to win, Russia certainly won't give it up in a hurry.

Spain v Italy - the only possible yawnfest. Italy may well stifle the game, frustrate spain, and nick it towards the end.

NL v Russia is the pick of the ties, but all look potentially great.

Yep, i'd agree that these two teams seem to be playing some damn fine footie at the moment.

However, i do worry that now it's the quarters, the more negative mindset takes over and your Italians and Germans come into their own and start grinding out results like usual.

i've been to italy quite a few times, i must have been unlucky as i thought the people were rude, lazy and disrespectful of everything around them. maybe that's just rome in particular. i don't like the way they play football either. and i've got spain in the work sweepstake so vamos!

Holland v Russia could/should be the best game of the whole tournament, and perfectly scheduled on Saturday night.
