Where haven't you been within the UK and Northern Ireland?

I honestly thought I had covered pretty much everywhere until someone mentioned Skegness. Bit of a howling cultural hole.
I went to the SWP's Easter Rally at what used to be the NUM's Holiday Camp in Skegness in 1980.
Been to various places around UK & NI. But the main places I haven't been are Devon and Cornwall. I've always meant to do some walking on Dartmoor, but haven't got round to it yet.

Re Blackpool - you're not missing much.

And jaggy mountains are lovely!

But I'd still like to know for myself I'm not missing much and jaggy mountains are oppressive and make me feel claustrophobic. It's not a thing I can explain tbh.

Spymaster, midges are mainly a west coast thing but they seem to be moving  Certainly not in coastal Angus, but quite a few folk got bitten the other week down in the Dunfermline area(scottish bus museum grounds)
They don't like me anyway but they are a pain for a lot of people.

Fair dos about jaggy mountains. Even if you're wrong! :p

There's always the good old whale-backed Pennines that are not at all jagged. :)

I haven't been to much of the North East other than to the main football cities.
Not been to Cumbria.
Haven't been to Hull/Grimsby.
Only been to Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland.
Only been to Belfast and up the coast to Giant's Causeway in Northern Island.
Not been to the Isle of Man.

Feel like I need to go on some holidays to Cumbria, the North East and the north of Scotland.

Have not been to loads of places, but intend to visit Orkney, Scottish Highlands and assorted English cities within the next few years.

There are big chunks of the UK I haven't seen including Cornwall, Norfolk, and pretty much all of the Midlands - the part I'd most like to see more of is Wales, I get the feeling only visiting Rhyl doesn't do the place justice.

Not been anywhere north of Dundee in Scotland and only been to Arran in terms of Scottish Islands. Never been in Dorset and only travelled through Cumbria, Suffolk, Worcestershire and Lincolnshire. Have only visited Derry in NI. No Channel Islands or Cornwall. I have lived in all the UK capitals bar Belfast.

Further than Stratford (from the west).

Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff, Aberdeen. Scottish highlands. N.I. Orkneys, Shetland Isles,

Never been to Northern Ireland, only been to republic on two really brief visits to Dublin/ dun leary (can't spell it) not to Cornwall (would like to) or really to Wales ever except ferry for Ireland.
The only surrounding isles I visited is Isle of Man. Not much of scotland outside edinburgh or gretna.

Never been to NI and have only been to Edinburgh, Skye and and a few Lochs near Loch Lomond in Scotland.

I've been all around the edge of Wales but hardly ventured into the centre. Most of the North is covered. Hardly been anywhere down south: Southampton, Colchester, Winchester, London, Great Yarmouth and various places in Cornwall. That's probably it.

Never been anywhere in the north east of England, never been to Birmingham except to change trains, never been to Oxford or any of the tory heartlands surrounding it.

I've seen a fair bit of Wales but I've never been further north than Perth in Scotland. Never been to Northern Ireland, can't imagine ever wanting to.

Britain's great, it's a tiny little place really but somehow there are always new places to go to.

Quite a few places, more than most I reckon, but I've never been to Wales or Cornwall. Really want to go to Cornwall and said I'd get the train there when I lived in Hampshire. I never did

Only drove through NI.

Wales. Plus countless villages, towns, cities, fields and country lanes in the other parts I have been to.

Maybe change the thread title?

The UK of Great Britain and....

Anyway. Where?
Yes, it's a bit of an odd title. It's like saying "Where haven't you been within the UK and Wales"......:hmm:

As for where I haven't been, I haven't been to a ton of places. It's a bit of an odd question tbh. Surely it would make more sense to ask where people have been?

I haven't visited the UK much. Always tend to go abroad when I get holidays. I'm from Kent and now live in London. I've only ever been to Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast, Giants Causeway, around the M25, Buckinghamshire (went to Uni there) and somewhere in Somserset. I think that's about it.
