What are you playing at the moment?

Playing the PC port of Miles Morales. Amazing how it makes web slinging through New York feel so smooth and natural. Very, very good looking game now that I've finally installed a 3060Ti so that 60 is the absolute minimum frame rate at QHD. First thing since the Batman games that really makes beating up your foes a joy instead of hard work.

Project Warlock. It's like the original Doom, both graphically and in it's level design. Really enjoying it.

That sounds quite fun. On my list of projects is to find a low cost way to stream games like this to TV so I can keep the dog company when my partner is out. Don't think she'd be very good with a pad though.

Currently playing:

Mount and Blade 2: Really addicted to this at the moment. Seen a lot of criticism of it on Reddit, but I love it. I sense it could be a lot better so that might be where the frustration comes from. Love the battles though despite the steep learning curve for me and it's the first game like this I've tried to play mouse and keyboard.

Football Manager 2022: Loaded up my journeyman save and currently 3rd in League 2 with Southend after getting them up last year. Was with Welling before that. I was offered the Ipswich job, but decided to turn it down.

Shadow Tactics - Blade of the Shogun: Got this on the steam sales and it's really good. Seen a few people have played it here. I'm fucking shit at it as it took me an hour to do the first proper mission with loads of restarts, but its one I can dip into for an hour.

Project High-rise: Got this on my tablet and like what I've played so far.

I have doorkickers2 and Death and Taxes waiting in the background. :)

Ditched RDR2. That's both games I've not finished now. I like it, but there's just something about the games that means I lose my interest.

To long, to many cut scenes. I put a lot of hours in, but gave up in the end. My last game on PS4. Maybe if I'd had more time to play it I might have finished it, but catching a few hours here and there I lost intrest.

Almost finished Outerworlds. Part way though I was wishing it was longer, but actually think it's probably the right length for me.

Jesus. Im looking forward to Starfield, but suspect that's a game that will need a lot of hours although I have a little more time to play these days.

Something called Tiny Rogues - which is like Binding Of Isaac mixed with Dark Souls. It's pretty good.

And still Total War: Warhammer. The sandbox mode is the game the 13 year old me always wanted. 200 hours and counting.

I know I'm going to buy Starfield when it comes out but I also know that it's going to really piss me off.

Think I'm going to give Elden Ring another bash. I only put about 20 hours into it when it came out, but I think I chose the wrong class for a complete Souls beginner - going to go magic caster this time and see if I can get any further.

Recently a PS5 came in to our lives (glory halleluiah) I've restarted No Man's Sky (because its now on a 43" TV instead of a 17" monitor ) but I've just finished Stray, which is completely gorgeous, and the lad and I are most of the way through Sackboy: A Big Adventure. I've just got Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart for him, and Hitman 3 for me. I needed a new hobby :D

I couldn't get in to Hitman 3 (or any of the others tbh). Am thinking about Deadspace but not sure I can cope with the fear.

My son's desperate to play it so even if I don't like it I'll keep hold of it till I finally relent and let him play an 18 game :D I've got half an eye each on Elden Ring and Demon's Souls though there's a PS4 game called Nier: Automata which is actually top of my want list atm.

Looking forward to playing Dead Space, eventually - will be waiting for a big drop in price. I've only ever played the 2nd one - amazing game, apart from a bit near the end which I just couldn't get by.

Certainly DS2 was about as 18 rated as you could get. I actually thought the head stomping and stuff was pretty disturbing.

Been rinsing COD mobile, although I've just deleted it, because of rinsing it.

iPad paired with Xbox controller has a lot of potential for gaming.

I've just bought hell let loose, its a brutal game, but I'm really enjoying it. Can completely see the appeal of working as a team, I just need to find more team people.

Midnight Suns now works on Steam Deck, so been playing that a bit. Still not sure all of the "go fishing with Spider Man" stuff works but the combat kind of makes up for it. It's a weird weird game.

Mount and Blade 2: Realised that the Campaign is broken. I've started a sandbox version but getting to clan level is a slog - will have to get back into it.

FM22: Slogging away as Southend United.

Doorkickers: Tried this today and was disappointed as it's not turn based and I couldn't figure it out. Will have to come back to it.

Death and Taxes: Started today and really like it so far.

Are we thinking Hogwarts will be a good game? I need something new to start soon…
I hope so it's pre loaded to unlock at 6pm

6pm on PC but already unlocked on consoles is a bit rubbish, Im just about to finish dead space in the mean time, it was great for what it's worth.

Picked up Ryse Son of Rome in a Steam sale a while ago for just a couple of quid and fired it up for a few hours this afternoon. Despite being released in 2014 it's still looks really pretty with everything on max. Also with everything on max it's managed to bring my 3080 down to 30fps in a few scenes. :D
