Thought I might as well put up my tracklist...

I don't like all of it (-it's a bit too achingly ...er... Stereogum/Pitchfork-y ), but still, it's certainly getting repeat listens.

Two Doves: until now, I've not quite been able to get my head 'round most of what Dirty Projectors have done; but I didn't know they were capable of something as enchanting as this.

With all the hype, I've tried not to like The XX, and although I haven't checked out anything else by them, there's no denying Crystalised is actually very catchy.

Still don't like Wild Beasts. Like so many of their ilk, they sound so horribly earnest. Plus this lot appear to have drafted in The Edge on guitar, FFS.

Experimental Dental School are good though. They played in the summer at a little local venue I'm involved with.

I don't know what it might say about me, but the tracks I like the best on this happen to be the ones I was already familiar with from hearing elsewhere (-BMSR, DOOM, EDS, Hope Sandoval, LCD). Maybe it means that, given time, I might eventually come 'round to some of the other stuff too...

I'd never heard of them either 'til they played here. Then I looked them up and they were offering their Forest Field album for free d/l.

Clearly a bit Deerhoof-ish, but they also remind me in some ways of a band called The Lava Children, who are coincidentally musical friends with BMSR.
