Urburn 14 - The Winterval Selection

I have had one ( its got a picture of a test card on the cover) not had a chance to listen yet.

I forgot to post mine yesterday but I have just been down the post office and is now done.

When do you think I should put the list up of who sent or didn't send to who?

End of the month? :hmm:

Received my second CD this morning.

Haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but cheers Dr. Furface; it looks satisfyingly random, and plenty on there that I know/like. :)

mine are going in the post today, I think one of mine is going to Brixton Hatter who is going to disappointed as there is no hip hop or dubstep on it my other one is going to Brighton
Received today! In fact, I am not disappointed at all. It's not normally the sort of stuff I listen to but I have a very wide taste and I've liked all the tracks so far - that first tune Sound of a Revolution is brilliant and I really liked the Abdoujaparor (?) track. If Urburn is all about discovering new music then this is great :)

And a bonus CD too!

The bonus disc should net really be listened too until at least the second week of December as it is all xmas tunes

ps Abdoujaparov ( Fruitbat Ex Carter USM)

Argh, I need to get my brain on track to make a blinding compilation.... I've been working on it, but it's all too electro/techno/jungle/dubstep at the moment. Well, maybe. It will come.

I've been slack! I have a massive list of possibles, but it's double the size required. Too many trombones and violins to consider. Do not expect continuity! It's just a load of stuff I like. I will make a serious effort and knock it out at the weekend. Proper sleeve art too. Maybe this (don't know yet):

Translation: Anarchy: the mother of stability.

I'm not sure what to make of the Goo Goo and other one :hmm: Only seen one person mention they've received mine... hope it goes down well :)

I'm going to have to give them another listen in my own time. golightly couldn't take it last weekend and kept skipping tracks

I'm going to have to give them another listen in my own time.

You really don't have to, y'know. :D

If you don't like them, chuck them, or pass them to somebody who you think might enjoy them instead. Or maybe randomly leave them on the table in a cafe. -I like it when people do that! :)

golightly couldn't take it last weekend and kept skipping tracks

In that case, I'm really sorry about one of the CDs being one long 73 minute continuous track. :(:D

Found both of mine waiting when I got back from work today.

Listened to Dr Furface's first as it was the easiest to open. Really liked it, there's a few tracks on there I already love such as Clark, Bibio & Omar S but plenty I'd never heard. New favourites at the moment are the AGF/Delay, Dirty Projectors, Hope Sandoval & Diamond Watch Wrists tracks. Gonna check the rest of the albums for these artists for sure.

second 2cd must be from Chintz - I've never heard of any of any of the people on here, nice to hear stuff that I wouldn't normally check out. The Mazzy Star track is gorgeous & the "None of them give a fuck about the future" track appeals to the scientist in me. I also like the Sonic Boom 6, Girls music & I'm a nobody tracks.
Just listening to a few of tracks on the Xmas CD, love track 3 so far. I'll save the rest till the office party

big thanx to both of ya's

I've had one of mine in the post yesterday - a lovely 2 disc effort with a rayt nice cover - looks like some art/light installation somewhere

Lots of lovely chilled, laid back, slightly wonky electronica type stuff, that I like but never get round to seeking out these days. Good music to chill/comedown/study to

Thanks to whoever made it! Will be listening to CD 2 tonight.

Keep changing my mind about my theme - need to crack on and just do it!

Glad you like the first CD, the second one is quite similar maybe slightly more uptempo.
