...haven't exactly decided where yet but preferably one with English is a second or first language (perhaps Malta, Gibraltar, or Ireland). The reason why we want to do ths is because it's become increasingly harder to get in to the UK even for spouses. The financial requirement has shot up a lot and my spouse has a conviction. So we don't want to go through our savings fighting it and meeting the ridiculous financial requirements when we can go elsewhere and start fresh. As I understand it, I can move there first and have three months to find a job and therefore have a claim to residency then my spouse can join me. Then we'd express our treaty rights to be together as husband and wife. Does anyone know anything abut this process here? Or just have any other ideas for locations?
