we only used 2 centre backs in each of the last 3 tournaments. If we've got to use a reserve for one game or the last half hour, I know I'd rather have King warming up than Upson.

Most talented English CB I've ever seen. He's absolutely incredible, especially given the fact that he doesn't train. It's an utter tragedy that his knee's so shit. If it wasn't for that, I have no doubt at all that he would have been England captain by now. He's sheer class.

King will never let you down.


Upson though, is more hype than substance.


Gratifying to see that Dawson's finally being recognised though. He's been phenomenal all season. The press are wetting themselves about him after the chelsea and arsenal games - but that's how he performs week in week out. That's why he was given the team captaincy.
