TV remote broken on Christmas Day

So the remote control has broke. Lucky it's on ITV so mother can watch Coronation Street. But should I try and fix it? It's this exact remote

Don't have a smartphone. It's not a smart TV. And I'm not sure about hidden buttons

Glad that you are managing to get to the stuff you want to watch - am not even being sarcastic, I posted a thread a while back which was basically the same - help my remote has broken and I am stuck on a shit channel...

The buttons to do it on the TV itself are pretty well disguised, once you know where they are it is a bit of a relief.

I got a replacement Samsung-compatible remote (which is actually better than the actual Samsung one that came with the TV!) from Amazon or Ebay or somewhere similar, it wasn't difficult to replace.
