Torrents before DVD release?

I quite fancy watching Goon. Mindless formulaic stupidity is just what I need right now.

As far as I can tell it's not been released anywhere in the world on DVD(etc) yet. But there are several torrents available on TPB, not marked as 'Cam' (someone videoing the cinema screen), uploaded by reputable sources and with hundreds of positive comments.

What gives? Can these possibly be legit? Or is it some sort of scamfest?

Looks kosher,if you read the comments below the HDRIP version it scores high on video and audio quality.

It'll probably a screener, it might well say 'not for general release' for a minute or two across the bottom of the picture for a few minutes.

Basically the titles normally contain what it is, this says HD rip, which normally means its ripped off a HD channel on the telebox as we dont really have hddvd anywhere now.

It could be they've ripped from DVD's they do for boards who decide awards. My mum's next door neighbour is on the board for choosing the BAFTA awards, so she gets all the films on DVD ages before release. She's not supposed to lend them out, but my mum can choose whatever she wants to borrow to watch.

Ta. I've snaffled the torrent now though, which should do me.

Ah - IMDB has it listed as released 'video on demand' 24th Feb, so I guess that's where it's come from in that case.
