Things for little'uns to do in Glasgow in January

mattie

missing in inaction
A mate from France is teaching in Glasgow for two weeks in January, and her partner and the two kids will have some time to look around the area. The little lad's maybe 6 and the little lass I think will be 3 when they go.

Does anyone know of good places to go? I'm not sure if they'll drive, they're coming from northern France so I think they might.

I recommended day trips to Edinburgh and Stirling, but worried that both involve some quite steep hills for little legs (the Royal Mile, anyway). Are there activities for kids in the area, and some a bit closer to Glasgow? She's teaching at Glasgow University itself, so will be quite central.

Any ideas appreciated.

I'm not convinced the show times on that site are correct.

Assuming there's still a pantomime running at the time they get to Scotland, get tickets.

It's something they just don't have in France and the slapstick etc will be enough to entertain adults & children even if they don't understand a word of it.

Stirling IS a hill or maybe I took the wrong route ;)
In Edinburgh there's childhood museum and the Dynamic Earth.

Dunno if Kelvingrove Museum is what kids would like but there were plenty of bairns there in July. I'll have a check and report back though fp has beaten me to the what's on site :)
