finished it - really good bit of telly drama. Marrying the almost comic book action with compelling characters, black humour and a well told, tightly written story (with side order of moral philosophy) is a difficult trick to pull off - and it did it really well. No flab, no plodding, well paced and exactly the right length. Cracking stuff. Obvious cohen brothers influence (and memento obvs) but matched their best stuff - with a moral core that they generally eschew.

liked the ending. was all going really bleak after the shock reveal of his relationship to the mystery Russian women - but the emoji message and his smile as he dies(?) chucks us that little nugget of hope and redemption

And yeah - the story constantly surprised without descending into labyrinthian confusion.

anyone getting into this ? I know its invariably bollocks but I'm enjoying the series. it got a nice touch of black comedy about it

eta, I thought i recognised the lead but couldnt place him - was in the A Private war - the Marie Colvin biopic

He was in The fall with Gillian Anderson.... I really liked her blouses in it
