i understand that linguists have identified a new trope, the mayism, in which e.g. brexit means brexit, enough is enough, terrorism breeds terrorism etc - x means/is/breeds/etc x. it is set to take its place in the linguistic canon alongside such other phenomena as the spoonerism.

let's help the linguists by collecting mayisms they can use in their textbooks.
