The Bristol Radical History Group are at it again:

"2016 marks the 10th birthday of the Bristol Radical History Group. This year we have also organised the 5th Radical History Zone (RHZ). The RHZ is an autonomous space for ideas about radical history that takes place alongside the annual Bristol Anarchist Bookfair. As ever there will be an eclectic mix of topics taking a critical approach to hidden history, with perspectives and themes rarely explored in conventional histories or the mainstream media."

The Radical History Zone is back at Hydra Books, 34 Old Market, BS2 0EZ, as part of Bristol Anarchist Bookfair 2016. The main bookfair is once again at The Trinity Centre
on Trinity Road. Date: Saturday 30th April, 2016

Wish we could make this (the Bookfair generally I mean), but we're now booked elsewhere for other things :(

We came along to Bristol two (three?) years ago and had a fascinating time**

**Even BEFORE we went to the pub(s) afterwards  :p

Really enjoyed rummaging for stuff on the stalls ... we actually bought two or three Bristol Radical History Group pamphlets!

Hope it all goes well anyway, and that people have fun as well as read/hear/buy ! :)

Sat 30th Apr, 2016 5:00 pm The Red Dagger Live performance of poem by Heathcote Williams The Red Dagger: the symbol of the City of London's treachery and oppression, paraded about in plain sight for 700 years; but who noticed? A live of Heathcote Williams’ epic poem depicting the origin of the infamous blade and detailing the depredations of the City of London over the last 650 years. Ciaran Walsh

I doubt Sir William Walworth (no relation ;) ) will come out well ... :hmm:
