The one-week iQueue. The saddest fanboys of the lot

Yep, it's a thinly veiled crusade and make no mistake,.

Christ, if Apple's traditionally understated marketing is ''high fiving whooping culture' then gawd knows what the Ed thinks of most US marketing, particularly in the technology arena. I mean, think of MS's own Steve Ballmer bellowing to a developer's conference and making himself breathless through a daft dance.

Wouldn't surprise me if this was an inititative of the marketing agency working for Apple/Orange rather than something centrally organised.

It's Apple you despise not the iPhone :)
Don't try and put words in my mouth because it's getting really tiresome now, even if you are 'joking'.

I know there's some Apple fans out there who can't bear to hear any criticism about the company, but some of their practices are far worse than their rivals and are valid topics of discussion and criticism. I'd suspect that it it was Microsoft employing some of their practices, you'd be the first to criticise them. And rightly so.

I've always been very fair with my comments about Apple products - do a search though these boards and you'll see I've often praised them. Just like I praised the iPhone in my last post (I think it's fair to call a second-gen phone that still can't do cut and paste, video or MMS 'flawed').

You what? There's no other company I can think of that has public countdowns outside the store for its product launches and instructs its staff to wildly whoop, clap and high five customers.

But seeing as you're insisting they're not as bad as some companies, perhaps you could give me some examples of consumer technology launches that have even more cringeworthy circuses going on?

Oh, and what Steve Ballmer gets us to at industry fairs is pretty much irrelevant.

I know you love Apple, but come on - if this was any other company, you'd be rightfully ripping the fucking piss out of them:

Inside the store as zero hour approached, Apple Store staff faced the massive, 15m high glass atrium that frames the store and began singing, dancing an clapping.

And it gets even more embarrassing:
By about 4.25pm the streets resembled the home stretch of a marathon as scores of Apple employees poured out of the store ran a lap of the block, high-fiving members of the cheering crowds as thanks for their devotion.

Shortly after I arrived and about 10–15 minutes prior to the store opening, the employees (what seemed like all of them) began running along the sidewalk adjacent to the line cheering, screaming, and high-fiving the people in line.

It's an opinion ffs, they can be right or wrong. Fucksake you're tetchy today!
OK. You hate half of the posters on urban75.

I'm not going to back that up with anything of course, but that's my opinion and I'll start repeating it around here.

And if you protest about it being inaccurate and misrepresenting your opinion, then you're being 'tetchy'.

There. How do you like that?

It's a shame you can't be arsed to actually argue the points about the iPhone's marketing being discussed here, but there you go.

65 people just laughed at you :D

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

But others will draw there opinions of me and guess that's wrong.

I see you and your posts about Apple and iPhone and have the opinion that you dislike them.

Which I am entitled to.

Do you get it yet?

It's also known as an ad hominem, so have you an opinion about Apple's cringeworthy in-store launches or not?

I've never actually seen one, I've seen some posts about them. Think it's a bit silly if that is what goes on but hey ho, as long as they enjoy it eh? :)

You're wrong! And you're not entitled to an informed opinion! :p
Everyone's entitled to an opinion but seeing as it seems a sensible discussion is now impossible here, I may as well add mine and give up on this thread: You're acting like a shit-stirring twat, firky's being an attention seeking dickhead (again) and Kanda's proved what a sad Apple fanboy he is.

Well done lads. One thread ruined!

Right, I've even come out of retirement for this one. I think everyone should calm down. Ed is very probably getting more and more irate at this kind of banter. And it is banter. Ed, try to keep your middle class dreads on, ey? Or should that be iDreads? ;)

That's my opinion after you rushed out to buy BOTH phones. Live with it.

LOL.

:D

*byeeee!

I thought you didn't mind Apple products only hated the way tehy're marketed, so why are you using buying one as a slur?

Er, I'm just having a joke with Kanda (I believe we've done that once or twice on here before). Would you prefer we just hurled nasty unprovoked insults at each other thus increasing your modding interventions?

How about an opinion on how you're now acting? :D

This thread isn't really the most serious or important one around so a little humour won't harm it if you ask me...:hmm:
