Who's saying they should be treated in the same way? There are a few groups like Ahrar al Sham that have made ISIS like videos of ISIS members being killed and tbh i think thats a very very bad sign, do we really want them regarded as 'the good guys'

I mean the best thing would be for him to have a war crimes trial but he would use it as a platform to bang on about jihad, and if he died during the course of the trial then people in isis would use that to show he was a martyr. And if he was locked up in the hague or something then he would probably still be able to go on the internet and post and watch isis videos all day

Anyways...in reference to that murdered scholar . I fear there could be worse ahead . The Syrian army is within spitting distance of palmyra . Just weeks ago daesh took over 200 Christians captive from Qaryatain. My fear is they were sending a message with that murder that there'll be much worse in store if the army goes at them . As well as destruction of the antiquities .
