Italy's defensive barracks would have come across a lot better if they weren't so woeful upfront. At least in the last World Cup we had them making some terrific efforts on goal along with it. Instead this time we were simply left with a dull, frustrating game destined to go to penalties.

Which isn't great football.

Toni should have worn his Bayern shirt under the Italian one. He was banging in goals in the Bundesliga keeping Podolski (3 goals so far) out of the side.

Kind of hope Spain get through so Podolski can add to his tally.
