i kinda like the one episode a week thingy

stops me binging a series and then having to go back and rewatch episodes from the first few
also give you a day of the week to find time to watch it like old school telly

first episode is solid giving a little back story of how fett is still about

I really enjoyed it. Strong start, and without the benefit of an ultra cute alien baby as Mando had. Good mix of flashbacks and present time storytelling, and further exploration of legacy species such as the Sand People.

It's me and the 11 year old sitting down together to settle down and watch a tale that we have no idea where its going to go, but we know the characters. That once a week time where we sit on the sofa, snuggled up and wonder at the brilliance of it.

Me because it's an amazing reworking of an old film. Him because it's a new program he loves.

Both of us because we love each other and this is one of those moments where we can share that together.

Tbf that is better than any response I’ll ever get trying to claim that it was the most pivotal moment of television in 2021 or should be in the top 10 of best first episodes of a series list.

Because - along with The Mandalorian - someone has finally made the Star Wars stories I’ve been wanting for over 30 years. When I’m watching it I’m 10 years old again.

Started 'The Mandalorian' the other night. So far so good & ms starfish is enjoying it too. Will definitely be watching this new Boba Fett thingy.

I'm not the worlds greatest Star Wars fan, so I was pleasantly surprised by The Mandalorian, which is the best thing I've seen out of that franchise so far. If this series is considered a success once it has finished its first season, I'll give it a go.

I dont get it. Is this the boba fett who got killed in ROTJ? So he was the bad guy there, in cahoots with jabba and holding leia prisoner, but a kinda good guy here?
